- Securing the legacy of work established by FDPIR Directors and programs.
- Protecting and expanding upon traditional foods in the FDPIR food package.
- Establishing a network of technical support that can address the needs for nutrition education and programmatic infrastructure needs.
- Supporting the advocacy of NAFDPIR’S USDA – Tribal Leader Consultation Work Group who is formally recognized as the collective voice representing NAFDPIR through formal Tribal Consultation with the United States government through the USDA.
- Serving as a committed partner of the Inter-tribal Agriculture Council, the Native Farm Bill Coalition and the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative.
